Mubasher: Pound sterling declined on Tuesday to its lowest level against dollar since about 31 years, amid a high sale of British currency triggered by fears of the consequences of Brexit.
By 9:15am GMT, sterling fell by more than 0.5% to $1.2764, its lowest level since 1985.
Sterling also retreated against euro by 0.2% to 87.51 pence, its lowest level since three years.
